United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Mark Green and the Honorable Carlos Vecchio, the Ambassador of Venezuela to the United States, will sign a Development Objective Agreement on Tuesday, October 8. The signing of this bilateral agreement represents a key milestone between the two countries; it is the first step in formalizing USAID development support that will help the legitimate Government of Venezuela lead the country forward.

WHEN: Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. Press should plan to arrive no later than 9:40 a.m. at the 14th Street entrance of the Ronald Reagan Building to be screened.

Media representatives may attend this event upon presentation of one of the following: (1) A U.S. Government-issued identification card (U.S. Department of State, White House, Congress, U.S. Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center); (2) a media-issued photo identification card; or, (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead to verify their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification card (driver’s license, passport). ALL non-US citizens must present a valid foreign government-issued passport for entry. No exceptions.
